1. First and foremost, hold a valid passport and ensure that you have all the required visas that you may need. An important tip is to keep a photocopy of the passport and visas at home or any other secure place. Secondly, they have to charge a fixed rate depending on the destination, which will be intimated to you at the pre-paid taxi/cab/auto booking center.
5. It is best to tour lesser known, remote tourist destinations in a group or with a companion.
6. Always keep some emergency numbers in handy, like that of the nearest police station and the local embassy.
